SOMETHING EVERY DAY
Every weekday there will be something for you to watch or join in via Zoom and on Wednesdays, get out doors.
The programme runs alongside our new ‘Groups-of-6’ and Zoom groups which are getting underway. Already the feedback is that Zoom is not complicated to use – if you’d like to try it out, ask Keith Banks kbanks1948@gmail.com to send you the step-by-step instructions produced by our Zoom Team.
There are five separate strands in our daily programme. If you want to join any of them you’ll need to send an email to the Strand Leader identified – once you’ve done this you will automatically receive the weekly ‘invitation’ to join that strand’s Zoom session.
There are only 100 Zoom places on each of these strands, so don’t miss out – when they’re gone they’re gone!
Once you have requested the Zoom link for your chosen strand(s) you will automatically receive each week’s ‘invitation to join’ unless you cancel your request. If you find you’re no longer interested in that strand please cancel your place so it can be offered to someone else.
Once this programme is underway we will send everyone a message each Sunday about the programme for the coming week.
So sign up and let us know how you get on!

HOME LIBRARY SERVICE
The Home Library Service is keen to let more people know this free service is available to them if they find themselves unable to get to their library.
Although Covid-19 restrictions have altered the way we can offer the Home Library Service, we are currently providing a temporary non-contact Doorstep Delivery Service to those who are unable to access the library in the usual way. This facility can be either short term or long term.
Our volunteers have strict safety guidelines and all necessary risk assessments have been carried out. Based on individual preferences, books are chosen by staff at the library and made ready for our volunteers to collect and deliver to clients’ front doors. The volunteers will not enter the house and they will keep a safe distance at all times. They will also pick up books and return them to the library – usually on a 3 week cycle.
Although the lockdown period is looking likely to be eased somewhat in the coming months and significant numbers of people have now received their first vaccination, we believe many vulnerable people will continue to isolate and may welcome this service going forward.
