My Father was a spy
Speaker: Mike Randell
Mike has always been connected with education – he spoke to us in 2019 about his time as a young Headmaster in an “Outstanding” Dorset school. He still works as an Education Consultant and has a keen interest in Archaeology as well as Local History.
Mike’s talk to us this time concerns the life of his father who was taken prisoner during the Second World War by the Germans. He managed to escape on many occasions. His experiences lead him to work with British Counter Intelligence which took him to various parts of the world, including working in Bagdad, East Berlin and Russia on many occasions.
