On Friday 26th April around 50 members of the FU3A went to the Travellers’ Tales presentation at King George V Regency Room where they witnessed a special double act. Christine Orange who is an experienced costume maker gave us an illustrated talk on the history of Pantomime with very interesting facts & figures about some of the original panto players and venues.
Then to everyone’s delight Mike Andrews appeared dressed in full panto dame costume. They both then showed the audience how several quick changes of costume could produce a completely different appearance for the next act. Often with only a few minutes of time between each page of script. A very enjoyable time was had by all. “Oh, yes it was !!!!!!
Thanks must also go to the Verwood Pantomime Society for the costumes.
