Our speaker this month was Mike Tuck who is a Master Woodcarver and Stick Maker and leads the local popular Ringwood Woodcarvers Group.
Mike shared his love of woodcarving, including the choice of woods available, the typical hand tools and the different types of carving methods which are practised. He was joined by Mike Smith and Keith Banks who all shared some of their wonderful, finished products.
Mike brought along a range carved everyday items as well as some of the most unusual items you have ever seen, for example a working large padlock and chain all made from the same piece of wood!!
We were all in awe of their skill and imagination highlighted in the wonderful display.
