CONCORDE- AN ICON OF AVIATION
LIVE Thursday 11.15 am
During the summer term Rodger Pettengell will be giving, on Zoom, a series of five talks about Concorde. Whenever Concorde visited an airport hundreds, if not thousands of people turned out to see it, often people who had no other interest in planes. These talks are aimed at those people for whom the “magic” that was Concorde still remains. They will look at how it came about, its development into a multi-million pound profit for British Airways, what it was like to work on the flight deck and, following the Paris crash in the 2000, its ultimate political assassination. They will not be heavy on aeronautical jargon.
If you would like to join simply send an email to ferndownu3a@googlemail.com and ask to be added to the group, that way you will receive an invite in the usual way a day or so before each talk. If you are unable to join the live talk see below for the recording.
