On 20th August 72 members  of Fu3a set off for a trip to Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. This was a first for us by taking two coaches.

Kew Gardens  is a world heritage site and houses the largest and most diverse botanical collections in the world.  We were able to wander at leisure enjoying the pavilions, gardens and exhibitions  including the newly opened Carbon Garden highlighting the carbon crisis. We were also able to  experience Of the Oak, a one-of-a-kind immersive art installation that celebrates the oak tree as a vital hub of biodiversity. The ground-breaking artwork is the creation of world-renowned experiential artist collective Marshmallow Laser Feast. As part of the experience, you found  out more about the future of trees and the important work that Kew is doing to protect them. In addition, some members enjoyed the tree top trail and other the palace. There was something for everyone.

Due the the visits group wonderful organisation,  led on this occasion by Anu Patel, the day went without any hiccups.

Thank You Anu.
