Firstly a very big thank you to everyone who helped out with yesterday’s plant fayre, either donating plants or cakes, or helping out beforehand or on the day. I think – aided by some lovely weather – this was a very successful event, enjoyed by everyone who came.
We had 113 paying visitors (plus ourselves), and – with a few last minute sales to neighbours – we made a total of £571. As Margaret Ward did provide such a large number of plants for sale, we will be donating £100 to her charity, Going For Bust. So we will be donating £471, plus the £110 we made on hanging basket day, to the FU3A charity, the Fletcher Foundation, going to Poole Hospital Breast Cancer Screening.
